Introducing Matt Feldon, Senior Team Leader Commercial Jets – UK

With over a decade of experience in the aviation industry, Matt began his journey as a trainee charter broker at the age of 18. Over the past 10 years he has worked at several charter broker companies, progressing to charter broker, account manager, senior account manager and now his new position of Senior Team Leader Commercial Jets – UK at Chapman Freeborn.

Reminiscing on his first foray into the world of aviation, Matt reflects, “I was first drawn to aviation when I saw a private jet broker job advertised and I thought it sounded interesting. It wasn’t something I’d thought about before, but that was over a decade ago now and the rest is history! When I was a kid my dad would take me to the back of Gatwick Airport to watch the planes take off, so maybe that was actually my early entry into the industry.”

Matt will lead the team, which comprises two charter brokers and three trainee brokers, with the goal of elevating Chapman Freeborn to new heights. He believes that Chapman Freeborn is one of the top three air charter brokers in the world and he wants to ensure they are firmly on that pedestal.

“I’ll be engaging with football teams, corporations, travel management companies and clients in music, film and TV to offer our industry-leading services”, Matt says. He continues, “In doing so, I aim to grow our client base while enhancing and nurturing client and supplier relationships.”

Matt is keen to hone in on the Commercial team’s proactivity and enthusiasm; “I will cultivate an environment in which everyone continues to be motivated and driven to excel in their roles. We will collaborate with the Business Aviation team, assisting them where we can and ensuring that together we succeed and grow.”

As he embarks upon the challenge of his new role, Matt is excited about the opportunity to cement Chapman Freeborn even more firmly in their excellent reputation, especially during their milestone 50^th anniversary year.

In his spare time Matt is a keen football fan, holding a Tottenham Hotspur season ticket and playing for his local team. He also enjoys spending time with his partner and dog and has a passion for travel, with a particular love for the tropical island of Mauritius.
